โญ ROUND 1 โ€” Brown Center

1. Make a Magic Ring

Wrap yarn around fingers, insert hook, pull up a loop.

2. Chain 2

(These chains do NOT count as a stitch.)

3. Work 12 Double Crochets (dc) Into the Ring

  • YO
  • Insert hook into ring
  • Pull up loop
  • YO, pull through 2
  • YO, pull through 2

Repeat until you have 12 dc total.

4. Join

Insert hook into the first dc, slip stitch to close the round.

โœ” Result: A small brown circle with exactly 12 stitches.


โญ ROUND 2 โ€” Yellow Petals (Small Puff Petals)

We make 1 puff stitch + ch1 in each dc of Round 1.

Puff Stitch for Petals:

In the same stitch:

  • YO, insert, pull up a loop (long, loose) โ†’ 2 loops
  • YO, insert, pull up a loop โ†’ 3 loops
  • YO, insert, pull up a loop โ†’ 4 loops
  • YO, insert, pull up a loop โ†’ 5 loops

Instructions:

  2. In each ch-1 space:

  3. Repeat around all 12 spaces.
  4. Join with slip stitch.
