Perfect 🌼 step-by-step instructions so you can follow even if you’re a beginner!
We’ll make it exactly like in your image — a realistic daisy with a round yellow center and long white petals.
🧶 MATERIALS
- Yarn:
- Yellow (center)
- White (petals)
Use DK or medium-weight yarn (like 4-ply cotton or acrylic).
- Hook: 3.0 mm–3.5 mm
- Scissors
- Yarn needle for weaving ends

🌼 PART 1: YELLOW CENTER
Round 1
- Make a magic ring.
- Crochet 6 single crochet (sc) into the ring.
- Pull the ring tight.
- Join with a slip stitch (sl st) into the first sc.
→ (6 stitches total)
Round 2
- Chain 1 (does not count as a stitch).
- Make 2 sc in each stitch around.
→ (12 stitches total) - Join with a sl st to the first sc.

Round 3
- Chain 1.
- 1 sc in first stitch, 2 sc in next stitch. Repeat from * to * all around.
→ (18 stitches total) - Join with a sl st.
You can stop here for a small center or add one more round if you want a bigger flower:
Optional Round 4
- Chain 1.
- 1 sc in next 2 stitches, 2 sc in next stitch. Repeat around.
→ (24 stitches total) - Join and fasten off.
- Cut yarn and weave end.

🌼 PART 2: WHITE PETALS
Now attach the white yarn to any stitch in the yellow circle with a slip stitch.
Each petal will be crocheted individually around the yellow base.
For Each Petal:
- Chain 12 (you can adjust to make petals longer or shorter).
- Starting from the 2nd chain from hook, work down the chain as follows:
- 1 slip stitch (sl st)
- 1 single crochet (sc)
- 1 single crochet (sc)
- 1 half double crochet (hdc)
- 1 half double crochet (hdc)
- 1 double crochet (dc)
- 1 double crochet (dc)
- 1 treble crochet (tr)
- 1 treble crochet (tr)
- 1 double crochet (dc)
- 1 half double crochet (hdc)
- 1 single crochet (sc)
- Slip stitch into the next stitch of the yellow circle to secure the petal.
Now one petal is complete 🌸
Continue Around
Repeat the same petal pattern in every stitch of the yellow round.
You’ll have about 18–24 petals, depending on your center size.
Tip:
If petals look too crowded, skip a stitch between petals occasionally.

🌼 PART 3: FINISHING
- When you’ve made all petals, slip stitch into the base where you started the first petal.
- Fasten off the yarn.
- Use your yarn needle to weave in all ends neatly at the back.
- Shape each petal with your fingers.
- (Optional) Lightly steam-block the flower to make petals flat and crisp.
🌸 OPTIONAL IDEAS
- Add a green base (chain circle) if you want to attach it to a stem.
- Use smaller hooks for keychains or larger yarn for wall decor.
- Sew to a hat, bag, or blanket for decoration.
